GALLÁN is a conceptual whisky brand created by Ckay Kim. Jangseungbaegi, a Seoul place name, refers to the site of "jangseung," Korean totem poles that guard villages and mark boundaries. Similarly, "Gallán" in Irish Gaelic means a standing stone, used as a protective marker or memorial in Celtic culture. Both symbolize guardianship and cultural identity, connecting communities to their spiritual heritage. They blend the physical and mystical as timeless sentinels. This shared role bridges Korean and Irish traditions, and it inspired to how this whisky's born.
